Comments: I can understand what they’re going for, but it’s not “easy” and I just don’t like it. It’s very much a “convert and cut” process, with the only way to crop out your hair or crop into your backdrop is to use the magic wand which apparently only is “for” certain layers. Other than that, it’s easy to get to the point of frustration in this program. The brush settings are quite good and the “smart” painting methods I hope they have in mind (“cut out the sky and use it on the tree” and “add some grass to the sky”) are not impressive, however decent. I think the algorithm would benefit from more of an artist’s eye. I’d really like to see some tools like the pen tool or the eyedroppers, or anything to get in there and drag the brush along the top of a scene to select what you want. However, I think I’d still like to have some options to control my selections, even better if it allowed me to edit it, add them, remove them, and select the area I’d like to delete it from, and even more importantly, where I’d like to replace it with tissue paper. Oh, well, at least they’ve added adjustments as of this update (I’ve used a semi-experienced user of the app for five years).
