The first thing I noticed when I installed the new version of Photoshop is the large number of new updates available to me. The latest update address some minor glitches in its user interface. Wherever an icon is present, there is a small arrow box showing where the user can enter the name of a chosen option or feature. When I turned on the new version, I thought that I should modify my profile at once. I created a new profile and chose it. But there was no way to do that. In fact, I was confronted with an annoying message stating: “Are you sure you want to do this?”
As mentioned earlier besides the Fill tool it also has the Gradient tool which allows you to reduce the opacity of particular areas of an image to create a die fade like effect on a background. I wasn’t able to use the Gradient tool with other tools that I need to like the Adjustment or Layer Mask. The Gradient tool is incredibly simple to use and easy to understand, making this a great tool to learn if you are new to Photoshop.
If all you need to do with a Photoshop document is resize an image the Image on a Canvas tool is more than sufficient. The Image on a Canvas tool allows you to drag the canvas to resize your image, and them click the tool to lock the canvas and prevent you from pixelling your image. The tool works beautifully and is one of the fastest tools I’ve used to resizing an image.
The picture library is a program that allows you to share images with your own friends and family. The picture library is in no way as powerful as Adobe Photoshop but it is still a fairly useful program with an effective interface. I love the library interface’s ability to place your pictures in folders so you can keep everything organized. And the organization of images is done so that you can have more than one image of a particular subject as opposed to the Organizer tool in Adobe Photoshop which is a vast program.
I find Adobe Photoshop to be a good program, but there are a few things it does that I hate. The first on the list is that the Fill tool is awful. It’s pixellated on anything that isn’t a solid color, so not all colors will look great. Plus there is no access to smart use of masking or layers like you can with other photo editors like Darktable.

A new selection mask lets you quickly protect the selected portion of the image from further editing, or to simply hide the selection. When you need to hide the selection all at once, you can use the layers panel, move the layer beneath the selection, or simply deselect the mask from its covering layer.
If you want to remove an object from the selected portion of the image, then use the one-click f, to create a group layer. On the group layer, select the object and the group tool and slice it from the image. Alternatively, you can select the layers panel and delete them from the group.
